The Tufted Titmouse is commonly found in deciduous woodlands, scrub oaks and shade trees. Found in flocks of 3-8 birds. They visit feeding stations near woods. They are crested birds, which act like chickadees but are larger and longer. Wings and forehead are grey. White underparts. Sexes are similar. Whistled song is 2 notes (or one slurred one) repeated 2-4 times lasting 14-22 min. Other calls are chickadee-like but distinctive.
