The Golden Crowned Kinglet; They gather in evergreen trees and shrubs with cones. They consume insects. This bird is thin-billed with wing bars and a brightly striped head. The female has a yellow crown. Song consists of 4 to 8 high notes followed by a series of rapid descending chickadee-like notes lasting 4-8 min. Three to five high creeper-like notes in a common call.
